I. Requirement for Manuscripts
1. Layout and Length:
① Please follow the submission instruction and the paper template to format your article strictly. Tables and figures must be properly placed and formatted (embedded in the text with no text wrapping).
② Ensure that all required information is correctly included on the first page of the manuscript, including DOI, Chinese Library Classification number, submission date, national funding project (if any), and biography of the first author and the corresponding author.
③ In principle, the manuscript should be written within 10,000 Chinese characters, with no more than 30 references (not applicable to review articles), and no more than 8 illustrations.
2. Innovation: The manuscript should possess academic significance and demonstrate originality.
3. Title: The title should briefly reflect the main content of the article. The wording should be standardized, within 25 Chinese characters.
4. Abstract:
① Abstracts should comply with the GB/T 6447-2025 standard, strictly structured by four elements: 【Objective】【Methods】【Results】【Conclusion】, with a word count of approximately 500. For non-review articles, concisely summarize the research objective, methods, results, and conclusions without comments.
② Abstracts should objectively reflect the article content without self-evaluation. It should highlight new findings and key viewpoints, exclude common knowledge or popular science content within the field, ensure a clear structure, concise expression, and precise wording. Avoid excessive enumeration of data and focus on a concise summary.
5. Keywords: Select 3 to 8 standardized terms that reflect the core concepts of the article, drawn from the title, headings, and main text.
6. Author Information: The standard format is as follows:
Author’s full name (year of birth—), gender, ethnicity (omit Han ethnicity), professional title, degree, and research field. E-mail.
7. Funding Projects: Only include the source and project number; do not specify the detailed project title. Papers supported by national-level funding projects will be given priority for acceptance and publication.
8. Main Body Text: The manuscript should have a complete structure and content, with clear organization, rigorous logic, accurate and reliable data, standardized language, avoidance of colloquial expressions, concise wording, and smooth writing.
1) Heading Levels: Headings are typically structured in three levels. The first-level headings are numbered as 1, the second-level as 1.1, and the third-level as 1.1.1. All heading numbers should be aligned to the left margin and written in Arabic numerals.
2) Figures:
① Figures must be high-resolution, with clear lines and text. Annotations should be explicit, and the text wrapping style should be "embedded".
② Variable symbols in figures must match exactly the format in the main text and formulas, including font, case, italics, and subscripts/superscripts (except for font size).
③ Figures with both vertical and horizontal axes should have scale marks on the inside of the axes without minor scales. Axis labels must include the Chinese name of the physical quantity, its symbol, and the legal unit of measurement, displayed parallel to the axis. e.g., 速度 v/(m/s).
④ Below each figure, there should be a figure number (numbered consecutively throughout the article, e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.) followed by a figure title, with two spaces in between. Bilingual writing (Chinese and English) is required. The English should be written as: for example, “Fig.1 Location of the study area”, where “Figure” is abbreviated as “Fig.”.
⑤ All figures must be referenced in the text prior to their appearance, using phrases such as “as shown in Fig. 1.”
⑥ Manuscripts involving maps with national boundaries must use standard base maps. For any maps involving national boundaries (partial regions within the country, the entire nation, partial regions of the world, or the globe), the standard base maps from the Ministry of Natural Resources must be used (download URL: http://bzdt.ch.mnr.gov.cn). The boundaries of the base map must remain completely unmodified (including the positions of the South China Sea islands). To accommodate scaling during typesetting, a linear scale bar must be used instead of a numerical scale. Additionally, the following note must be included below the map title: "Note: This map is based on the standard map with approval number GS(2016)xxxx downloaded from the Standard Map Service website of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the base map has not been modified."
3) Tables:
① Three-line style should be used with a concise and scientific design. Table titles must be accurate and complete, and text wrapping is not allowed.
② Generally, the Chinese name of the physical quantity, its symbol, and the legal unit of measurement should all be clearly indicated and must match exactly with those in the main body text—for example: 压强 P/kPa.
③ Above each table, there should be a table number (numbered consecutively throughout the article, e.g., Tab. 1, Tab. 2, etc.) and a table title, with two spaces in between. Bilingual writing (Chinese and English) is required. The abbreviation “Tab.” should be used instead of “Table.”
④ All tables must be referenced in the text before they appear, using phrases such as “as shown in Tab. 1.”
4) Variable Symbols
① Variable symbols for the same physical quantity or term should be standardized and consistent throughout the entire article. If the same symbol has different meanings in different contexts, the symbol must be adjusted accordingly. Letters should be in “Times New Roman” font.
② Generally, variable symbols are italicized, such as X, n; vector or matrix variables are in bold italic, such as X, n; variable symbols composed of multiple uppercase letters (excluding subscripts) are in upright (roman) font, such as RMSE, NSE, ET₀; subscripts or superscripts that only indicate properties of variables (not variables themselves and not assignable) are in upright font.
③ Easily confused English letters (uppercase and lowercase) and Greek symbols must be clearly distinguished, for example, English S and s, Greek γ and r, Greek ω and w, etc.
5) Unit Symbols
① The International System of Units (SI) and corresponding symbols should be used. All unit symbols throughout the article should be in upright (roman) font.
② Numbers should be grouped in three digits using spaces (not commas), for example: 1 234.567 89.
③ Examples: “3 平方公里” should be written as “3 km²”; “5亿吨” as “5 亿t”; “7-8天” as “7~8 d”. The correct symbol for hectare is “hm²”, not “ha”.
9. References: The number of references should not be excessive, and it is recommended not to exceed 30, two thirds of which should be papers published within the latest 5 years and 30% should be in foreign languages. The national standard GB/T 7714—2025 (in contrast to the 2015 edition) must be followed. All references listed at the end of the text must be cited in the main body, and the numbering of references should follow the order of their first appearance using natural numbers. Be sure to distinguish between different types of references and include all required elements to ensure completeness and accuracy in the reference list. Chinese-language references must be accompanied by corresponding English translations, which should be placed in brackets “[ ]” immediately following the Chinese entries.
The surname should precede the given name for all authors. For Western names, the surname precedes the given name; the surname should be written in full with an initial capital letter, while given names are abbreviated to uppercase initials separated by a space, e.g., Fordham E W (√), Turner D A (√) (note: please verify the original text to avoid mistaking a two-word given name for a single initial). For Chinese names in Pinyin, the surname precedes the given name; both the surname and given name should be written in full with only the first letter capitalized and the rest in lowercase, e.g., Zhang Siwu (√), not Zhang S (×) or Zhang S W (×). If there are three or fewer authors, list all names; if there are more than three authors, list the first three authors followed by “,等” or “,et al” (for English). Be sure not to omit the commas.

The review of these manuscripts will be conducted independently from the editorial board members, editors, and their research teams. In addition, editorial board members and editors must avoid participating in the review of manuscripts authored by individuals with whom they have competition, collaboration, or other conflicts of interest.
3. The above-mentioned manuscript review process also applies to special academic issues. Manuscripts submitted to special issues undergo the same review and editorial procedures as regular submissions, with the final decision made by the General Editor based on the discussion and recommendations of the final review meeting. The General Editor is responsible for the entire content of the journal, including special issues. When organizing a special issue, the editorial department invites leading experts in the relevant field to serve as Commission Editors. Their responsibilities include proposing the topic and soliciting manuscripts. The work of Commission Editors is overseen by the General Editor and the editorial department to ensure the fairness of the review process.
4. After publishing, if there appears to be an unintended scientific mistake in the article that would not lead to significant impacts on the results and conclusion, the editorial office will publish corrections in the journal as soon as possible, and detail the changes made to the original article. If severe scientific errors are found in published articles, or the article is suspected of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism and data falsification, the editorial office will issue a statement to inform readers of the risks, initiate an investigation and announce the final result, or even retract article with a retraction statement if necessary.
